முத்து சிந்திடும் பூ முகம்
பசி தாகமும் தீர்ந்திடும்

மொழியைக் கேட்டு
மழையும் கீதம் பாடும்
Even the rain sings a tune by listening to your cute voice which overwhelms even that of the koel 

தளிர் பாதம் தத்திப்
பழகும் வேளை
தென்றல் தாளம் போடும்
The breeze is rhythmic towards your tenderfoot crawl

இரு விழிகளோ ஓவியம்
அது பேசிடும் காவியம்
Your eyeballs are artistic
They compose epic poetry

முத்து சிந்திடும் பூ முகம்
பசி தாகமும் தீர்ந்திடும்
Your pearl-pouring flowery face (when looked at)
makes the hunger and thirst disappear

மனதில் நன்றி பகர்வோம்

As we hold you on our lap, we thank Allah for His blessings
(All praise belongs to you Allah!)

மழலைத் தேடும் அன்பர்
வாட்டம் போக்க
கைகள் ஏந்தி கேட்போம்
We pray to the Almighty Allah to bless those with offspring who are yearning for that

கன்னத்தில் இதழ் சேரவே
பனி போல் உடல் சிலிர்த்திடும்
As your tender lips stamp on our cheeks
Our body would become chill as ice

சில நாழிகை பிரியவே
உளம் ஏங்கியே தேடுமே
A short separation would dramatically increase the longing of the heart
